The EASY heat exchanger was specially developed for use in poultry fattening systems and has already proven itself in this design more than a hundred times across Europe. The basic idea is based on the reduction of CO₂, dust and ammonia emissions in animal husbandry.

When broiler fattening begins, the house is warmed up and a high temperature level is maintained over the following weeks, depending on the age of the animals.

At the same time, the need for fresh air rises sharply with increasing animal size. This means that the barn air, which is heated with a lot of energy, is replaced by cold outside air and must be heated to the required barn temperature. The EASY heat exchanger from WESSELMANN uses the warm exhaust air to heat up the fresh air supplied, thus reducing heating costs by up to 60%. On cold days, recovery efficiencies of up to 80% are achieved and the heat exchanger can replace the heating output of up to 170 kW.

The EASY heat exchanger can also be used to regulate humidity in the barn. Humid barn air is exchanged with preheated, dry outside air. The heat exchanger therefore also offers further advantages outside the heating period. Heating costs and emissions from stable systems can be reduced by up to 60%.
